A good concrete should fulfill the following requirements :
It should have good workability so that it can be easily handled and placed in position.
It should be dense and compact.
It should have enough compressive strength.
It should be durable.
It should be resistant to fire.
It should be impermeable.
It should form hard surface capable of resisting abrasion.
It should have minimum shrinkage.
It should be economical.
